Our story

Two brothers, one shop in East Nashville

Ironwood Builders is a custom home builder and remodeler in East Nashville. Brothers Nate and Luke Harper grew up framing houses with their father and started the company in 2008 to build homes they would live in themselves.

Scope in writing
Nothing starts until the list of materials and finishes is on paper and you have read it.
The owner on site
The person who priced your job is the person you deal with while it is built.
One warranty, two parts
Workmanship and structure are covered separately and named in the contract, so you know what each one covers.

More about us

What we build

Homes, additions and remodels

See what we do

  • Custom home build

Design-build from plans to keys. We carry the job through framing, finishes and the final punch list, with a fixed price and a written schedule.

  • Home addition

Bedrooms, suites and second stories. An addition changes how the house performs, so roof, drainage and heating are checked before the first wall goes up.

  • $45,000

    Kitchen remodel

A full kitchen remodel. It costs more than the visible finishes, because plumbing, electrical and structural work sit behind the walls, and all of it is in the estimate.

  • $18,000

    Bathroom remodel

A full bathroom remodel. Tiling, waterproofing and drainage sit behind the finished room, and the scope lists each one before the work starts.

Why Ironwood

The price you sign is the price you pay

What we put in writing, and what each piece does for you.

  • Fixed-price contract A fixed price only protects you if the scope is written down. Every material and finish is listed before you sign, so the figure holds unless you change the scope.

  • Written schedule The dates come with the estimate, not as a rough guess. A build that drags on costs you rent or storage, so the schedule carries as much weight as the price.

  • Weekly site walk Every week, from foundation to final punch list, the two of us go round your house together. You see the work as it happens.
